CANCELED December 12-14 – Feeding the Future: Growing for Family, Neighborhood or Market, Esalen, CA – Michael Ableman and I have been teaching versions of this workshop on his farm in Canada for the past four years and this year I’m excited that we’ll be bringing it to a spectacular spot on California’s central coast.

October 23-27 – Terra Madre, Turin, IT – In 2006 I attended as a delegate and felt I was just scratching the surface. I’ll be back again this fall as a delegate and hope to connect with more producers from around the world.

September 24-26 – Growing For Market, Salt Spring Island, BC – Michael Ableman and I have co-taught this workshop for enough years now that I can’t remember when we started. We cover everything about market farming, and do it on his beautiful mountain top farm in BC, eating incredible food and hanging out with great folks.
March 2 – Oregon Small Farm Conference, Corvallis, OR – Co-presenting workshop on useful record keeping for vegetable growers and also sitting on a panel of authors from the Greenhorns Book
February 21-23 – MOSES Organic University and Organic Farming Conference, La Crosse, WI – Small Farm Profitability: Tools and Tactics – I’ll also be leading a workshop at the conference, a much shorter version of the all day class.
